Arrghhh! eBay!
« on: 12 April 2007, 16:19:11 »

I just listed the breaker car I have, just like EVERYONE else does, saying that the auction was for one wheel nut only.

And they removed my listing, sighting:

You may not list intangible items or items whose existence cannot be verified, such as ghosts, souls or spirits.

Can someone please explain how an earth a wheel nut is not tangible or a ghost, soul or spirit?!! FFS they really wind me up sometimes..  >:(  >:(  >:(

they are total muppets over what you can and cannot list. i once listed some history books including marxism and mein kampf. they took them off practically calling me racist, but they meade me laugh because they were uni reference books and one included a reference on the abolisment achievement of the anti- slave trade!!!
i am always seeing people advertise fresh air from their respective seaside resorts- crazy!!!

How exactly can you have a ghostly nut? :o

Just advertise something bigger like a washer or a bigger wheel nut, dunno why they cancelled that you see loads of breakers adverts!  :-/

You should relist it and state "note to ebay, the nut is still alive"

dont understand that.....

ive consistanly listed "breakers" for 6 months, with the warning any winning bidder will win an 8mm nut.

I do say in the listing that " i am breaking the car and email me for availability" i also mention that any parts "will be listed to ensure i follow all ebay rules and regulations"

maybe i am lucky or your just darn unlucky :-/

I did pretty much exactly that too!

I think they just dislike me, me an ebay have a checkered history!

Yes I am, needs too much doing to get through an MOT and what with two broken autoboxes I don't fancy sourcing a third to find the same problems - going to pull it to bits, shame as its utterly immaculate inside and out, first one i've ever seen with ZERO rust!

Thats a shame, it did look in mint conidtion.

Put loads of photos on the eBay auction so people can see how good it is. As MarksDTM once pointed out too, keep every little nut and bolt, may come in very handy on later projects. There will be later ones, its adictive!

My first was a 98 V6 Reflection, doubled my money on that, then kinda bummed out on a 3.0 Elite Estate shed on wheels, still got a small profit on that but lesson learned.

I want to get stuck into more, but can't for at least 6 months  :'(
