On the wiring loom section that goes to the Lambda sensors on the 3.0 there is a 2 pin plug . Did it go to the fuel vent valve? If so will it need a resistor to fool ECU?

Nope, the ECU isn't bothered whether venting the carbon cannister actually did anything. That said, in my mind, the connector for that solenoid is away from the Lambdas. I can go look in the garage tomorrow and see what else is down there... :y

The good Doctor is, of course, quicker and more correcter :y However, as I'd taken a pic out in the garage anyway, here it is for anyone who happens upon this in a Search some time down the line, with the two oxygen sensors being the only other thing on that stub of the V6 loom...

It connects to the body harness via one of the round plugs by the battery, whereas the O2 sensors disappear into the engine ECU. Auto cars have another round plug that connects the box to the box ECU via the body harness.

AS it is it wont reach the switch on the gearbox anyway, good job I wired it to the rear loom. Now I would have stripped it out of the loom when I reworked it.

Then the loom is in the wrong place. On an Omega that would raise an eyebrow, but under the circumstances, some rearrangement is to be expected.

Replace the word some with a lot and you get it. Totally stripped apart and rejigged , have a large box full of all the "unnecessary" wires, switches and relays not needed . LED display, bulb failure module, rear door wiring, speaker wiring and heater controls to name but a few as well as the alarm wires.

I managed to use half of my such box wiring up Robs V8 :D

I took 5kg of crap out an Mx5 loom for a friend's kit car project :y
There's another carrier bag full of the ABS and airbag wiring removed from an MGF loom for another job, not counting the 2metres of loom to put the engine in the front.

The removed bits have come in handy.
