cheers guys for the info,still have not got around to getting water leak at front of engine investigated.no time,gas engineer working in central London.STRESS!!!Anyway next question,i notice from front of engine what sounds like worn bearing noise on tick over,it can also be heard inside car with every thing off sitting at the lights.Am i wrong in thinking cam belt tensioners make a high pitched whining when theyre about to give up.. MV6 3000 MAMUAL 2000 FACE LIFT..

Hi guys johns the name,just signed up on your forum couple of days ago.hope some of you guys can advise me on this.2 weeks ago i bought a Omega MV6 3ltr manual in cosmos black,trully stunning condition in and out,its hard to believe this car has had 4 owners,well judging by its vauxhall history,3 good owners and 1 Idiot.You all heard the saying Beauty is skin deep but Ugly goes to the bone.first off last ownerlopped off back box and fitted sports pipes.thats the good news,now for the Bad..Water leak from front of engine,constant vapour on tick over even when hot from those twin pipes,heating in off mode,temp goes to 90 then 100 in traffic,fans cut in back to 90.Heating on temp does not go over 80.. what has me baffled?No water in oil,ticks over smoothly..Goes like a ROCKET!!I hope im wrong but im thinking Hair line crack in head or heads.Oh she done approx 100.000 w reg 2000 face lift model
PS. I wasnt expecting a Rolls Royce for a Grand.
Any help and Advice good or bad would be much appreciated.. John

Hi Kevin,we met at the Bucks meet,John with the Black Mv6 from Watford,ive been advised to seek further advice.Today i posted problem on General Help,2 long winded to post again,if you get a chance Mate,you can read it under Too Hot for Me. Any info on what to look for next would be a great help,Mig now parked up until sorted 1 way or the other

Thanks 2 all the members who offered me advice on how to sell my beloved mig.I signed up to Piston Heads to day and thats where she will be going in the near future Im absolutley gutted I have to let her go,but been out of work since April. To add insult to injury,my vans due MOT next week,so 4 new tyres £245 inc vat,got chatting to the owner about business,must be doing well selling bloody tyres,nice Beemer outside and his other car is a 2 SEATER HELICOPTER ..I know what your all thinking guys Naaaaa! he must b selling some thing else,nope £245 in 15mins off me constant customers and hammers the competition on price not hard to see how he does it . Good luck to the Guy,time for a change of career John...
