I am looking for a grill for the Elite. Now the problem is I have fitted the facelift bumper onto a prefacelift mig and I need a grill that will fit in the gap nicely. My question is................
Is there a grill that would fit that would NOT need any modification doing to it? Or is it a case of making one?
I await with anticipation.

on a more helpfull note would a face lift bonnet fit?... and then the grill of your choice?
-
It would but then I am then looking at the front wings and slam panel for the bonnet, this would then start to be more exspensive. If need be I will buy some meshing and make my own and affix it on the car. I don't know if the facelift grill would work but I might be wrong. Any help on that one?

i think Jim on here has been down this road, also fitted all face lift door trims. Maybe pm him. Think there are some pics of his car(s) on here somewhere.
Im under the impression, quite possibly wrongly
mind, that the chassis is the same across the range and years so presumed the slam panel would be the same, would also be suprised at the need to change the wings when fitting a new bonnet...? But have never done it so by no seams sure. I would think Robsymv6 would know. Or have you discussed it with him already perhaps? Anyway, just a thought.
Would have thought the pre face grill would be nearest fit as you need to fill the whole space which includes the bonnet area surrounding the grill on the face lift.

Which Jim are you talking about?

Right the facelift bonnet will fit no problems!
But the windscreen washers are fitted to the bonnet on a pre-facelift and on the facelift they are fitted at the bottam of the windscreen where the base of the wiper's sit, I think it's called the scuttle plate.
The only thing I think will fit with the pre-facelift bonnet and a face lift bumper combination is the steinmetz grill but they are very rare, or you could modify your exsiting grill to fit by trimming the bottom of it to fit.
The Steinmetz Grill
