Title: Manual gear knob removal
Post by: humbucker on 20 September 2016, 19:37:48
I've searched the forum and found loads of posts asking the question, but no actual answer to the brain-teaser that is 'how do you remove an Omega's manual gear knob if you want to replace it with an aftermarket/Irmscher item?'

Any ideas?  :-\

it has to be cut off with a hacksaw, there was a guide on the irmscher site a while back.

Is that the plastic bit left after the knob falls off?

The shaft is knurled to grip the knob

Just be carefull that you dont pull the reverse lever with it as your stretch and ruin the plastic attachment that lives inside the lever itself. Got that T Shirt.  :-[
