powersounder batteries
« on: 05 December 2009, 18:32:06 »

Just been to maplins again earlier for powersounder batteries, but can only find the three pin ones instead of four, does anyone know if these will still fit, taking into consideration that the two batteries are slightly offset with each other when soldered in. :y

send Kevin Wood a pm, he found some for mine. Only issue, they where a bit bigger than the originals in terms of physical size, but he soldered them together in line and they fit in the case, all works fine.

The actual exact same ones do seem a little hard to find though.

I will have another look when I get a chance and see if I can find a more exact match.

Ouch! I think I got larger ones from Farnell for about that much for the pair.

What about 2 of these ?

or

Not sure what the difference is other than price?

I think  earlier powersounder  models had two button cells by emmerich Z3A120 very hard to find. See  maintainance guide for more info.

Hello guys,

I think my power sounder is starting to fail. After checking numerous things I have no more idea left but the battery is out. Where can I find the actual unit itself? I can only follow the wiring until it disappears between the firewall and dashboard. Is it something I can do by myself?

Thanks for your help in advance!

What if I simply disconnect the powersounder until I sort this problem out? Could it cause any problems?

How can I figure out what kind of batteries my powersounder has got without taking the actual unit apart? I've seen in a separate topic that it could have two different types, the simple button battery and the big 3.6V 150A green battery pack.
