Hi all
I have a broken aerial which i found when washing the car but also found the base rubber falling out.
So thought i would replace both and be done.
On looking for a new one i found 2 types which look identical but 1 is passive and 1 is active.
The active one obviously has a Electrical cable attached too.
Can i tell which mine is without the removal of the head lining or is this a must before.
My system is a Bose setup.
Thanks
Jay

You can access the aerial by removing the trim around the boot opening, and pulling the headlining down a bit.
Buy a new base gasket for the aerial, an ordinary(non GPS) one is about a fiver: LINK (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-Agila-A-Suzuki-Wagon-R-Roof-Aerial-Antenna-Rubber-Gasket-Seal-/171479433750?hash=item27ecf88216:g:mBcAAOxywFhTcTuL)

Thanks
After a while i did this and found it was a active aerial
I have ordered a shark fin one as this will stop the fouling with the spoiler which i think messed the last one up.
Thanks

I need one for my car as its very brittle looking and it has split on the side. but I cant see any obvious leaks inside the car yet..

Car won't leak as there's another seal where it bolts through... That larger piece is largely cosmetic ;)

Don`t take this as gospel, but I don`t recall ever seeing a non-active OEM beesting aerial on any GM model :-\
