ABS warning light?
« on: 03 February 2008, 15:18:03 »

light came on yesterday for around 10 mins went off then later on in day came on again for a while and has not been on since? looked in omega book and it says take to dealer.... hmmm any idears on what would cause this? thanks in advance.

Hope someone can help you as this was going to be my next post. Got exactly the same happening on my 1998 elite deisel. I can't answer your problem but will hang around to see if anyone can if you don't mind.

2 weeks ago same happened, ABS light turn on ..The second day the same.. After lost and never light again..With Tech 2 appeared to be Brake schalter switch..

But anyway I changed the part as I ordered before..

You've used this word before Cem. 'Schalter' sounds to be more German than English. :-?

Happened to me once on M40 after a very long run from Bolton
Pulled onto A34 towards Oxford, parked up, switched off & restarted
Light no longer showing & has remained off for over 2 yrs
I put it down to Aliens! :)

The 5.3 ABS ecu (post 1998) do seem to fail.  Plugging in to diags equip is only way to tell really
