Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: ccrt2008 compatible screens?
« on: 19 December 2012, 11:56:04 »
the stereo doesnt need mating to the car, the screen needs pairing (married) to the stereo also dont know year of your car but if it has buttons not wheels on the steering wheel for radio controls then its half canbus if it has wheels then its full canbus
if its full canbus you would be better going for the cd70 with paired screen as a replacement  :y

Doesn't the fuse only relate to servo tronic though

i thought this as well if you pull the fuse dont you get either maximum or minimum assistance (cant remember which way round) i think its what TB has stated that the pump is getting tired and needs replacing, as said if you increase revs it gets it up to speed  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Rattling Door Lock Pins
« on: 06 December 2012, 15:41:41 »
most of the time when the door pins start rattling it is due to to the top plastic strip inside top of door card coming unstuck, when you take doorcard off have a look for this first, if it is flapping around get some decent glue and restick, this will stop pins rattling  :)

hi all
long time no posting  ;)
to the op (not sure if this will work) leave the cd player on, might be several hours it could reset itself, also i seem to remember that there was a certain way round to install the radio and cd changer   :-\

take the doorcard off and you will find that the top bit of plastic has come unstuck from the card this causes the top of the doorcard to vibrate causing the the doorpin to rattle  :y  simply use some real good adhesive to re-stick  ;)

on most of them the wiring is in place just tucked up by squib so if you have right stereo it could be a case of plug and play, well it was on my ex-plod  :y

to test whether or not it is bonnet switch just unplug it, if alarm doesnt wake neighbours or yourself anymore you have found the culprit  :y

not sure on the mig but the saab drop links are the same as used on the vectra, the saab drop links seem to be a lot better quaility than the gm ones  :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Steering Vibration
« on: 03 June 2012, 16:31:29 »
check drop links and replace both sides even if one worn, vibration at a certain speed usually means wheel balancing or uneven tyre wear, but as you have had new tyres i would rule out tyres but i would go back and get wheels rebalanced you might have lost/moved a weight hitting the first speed bump  :y
