Omega CCRT700 Changer problem
« on: 14 October 2012, 19:49:15 »

Hi folks how ya all doing???

I have a CCRT700 with Blaupunk changer in the boot

When i got the car there was an aftermarket CD player i ripped that out as i wanted the changer and stering controls to work. put the tape player in and put the code in on the dash that was fine.

But the changer has been locked out it says CD SAFE with no numbers near i.e how many trys i can enter.

I went to a car audio shop and the guy wanted £35 for unlocking it. no way paying that!

Any ideas if i can do this myself or a much cheaper way to do it???

Cheers

Do you have the code for the CD changer? If not you'll have to pay out anyway ....... and what's £35 vs the price of a new changer?  ::)

ignition ON
Head unit OFF
Press & hold CD while you turn the head unit ON
That should give you the opportunity to put the code in  :-\

Thats what the book said mate i tryed and tryed that but what im saying is its locked out as when you enter the code there is a number (10) or (8) thats the attemps you have left to enter the code.

Mine as been locked out as i think some1 has entered the code wrong 10 times so its locked out.

Tape/Radio was fine i followed the book and worked 1st time. so i knew what i was doing for the changer.

And i havent entered anycode for the changer as i could'nt as it was locked when i got it.

Its very nippy!!!!!!

If all 10 attempts used up, then needs manually unlocking - by all means give me a ring, but make sure you are sitting down when you do as its a bastard of a job
