I'm not the biggest fan of Farage, and even less a fan of the banks in general but......

WTF is Coutts playing at by stating that Nigel Farage does not align with their values.

Since when did banks become the moral guardians of all that is right and good? :-X

General Car Chat / I've been given this for free.
« on: 13 July 2023, 16:50:10 »
A few years old and taken off a BMW M340i ( before being sold) with the same B58 lump as my car. About £230 new and anywhere from £50-£150 used on ebay.

Very simple to intall ( about 2 minutes) and works on the MAP sensor only. Very safe, I'm told.

Anyone have experience of this type of thing?

General Car Chat / Can 'lane assist' be permanently disabled?
« on: 12 June 2023, 14:43:01 »
This so called safety aid is utter wank.

At best it is annoying and frustrating, at worst it is dangerous.

I've resorted to the most 'reduced' settings but it still vibrates the wheel as it tries to drag the car where I don't want it to go.

It takes 8 prods of the touch screen to disable each time the car is started......but is back again when the car is next started. I wonder if there is a shortcut I'm not aware of.

Does anyone have experience of this?

I really dislike this electronic nanny. :-X

Here she is enjoying a lazy siesta in the June sunshine. :)

The 'bell end purple' car ( as coined by the elderly scouser) was the test car loaned to me in 2022 for a test drive.

How is this legal or allowed?

Civil servants are supposed to ne apolitical while at work, yet they seem to be trying to dictate government policy. :-X

General Car Chat / New car should soon be here.
« on: 19 April 2023, 12:56:04 »
It is 11 months today (19th May 2022) since I placed my order and left a deposit.

Apparently she is now fully build and is currently in transit between Mexico and Bremerhaven. They can't tell me the name of the ship but they can tell me it will dock in Southampton.

Expected delivery date is 22nd May.

No mention of any price rise. That would piss me off. ::)

I thought it was to be continued.

But it seems not.

I'll be OK, but I imagine some people will struggle. :-X
