Try again tomorrow with the battery charged, that's assuming it's not knackered.

Battery should be sound.
Only 18 months old iirc.
All bonding straps seem to be tight / in one piece.
Just had my 3rd jab so my arms aching like fook  :-X
I'll just have to get my arse out of bed early in morning and wield the hammer  :y

As for the jab, 5G signal is improving already  ;D
Good shit this Pfizer  ;D
Yes. I had my booster two weeks ago and I'm up to 120Mbs already  :y

 ;D ;D

Well finally managed to wedge my fat arse under the car with a assortment of meters, hammers and tools.
Poked it, slapped it and finally knocked the shit out it with a hammer  :y ;D
Got a measurement of battery voltage on the HT side but anywhere between 5 and 8 volts on the LT side.
Had a quick check at the back of the ignition switch which gave me (near as damit) battery voltage so that got me really thinking..............
Back under the front I go for another look.
Crimps look okay then it hit me literally.
The floor is wet, the car is wet and i'm getting blinded by dripping water from the engine above  ::)
Then the penny drops why I can't get a solid reading on the LT side  ::)
Grabs a tea towel out of the kitchen (i'll suffer when the wife finds out  :'(
Gives the starter and solenoid a good rub down, grabs a puffer bottle of PX24 (duck oil to civvies) and proceeds to spray everywhere around the starter.
Gives it a minute then turn the key.
Needless to say it fires up first time  ;D :y

Happy days  ::)

Merry Christmas Oofers  :y

Battery held 12.4 over night after a few hours on charge.
Battery charger is a 10 amp one with start facility.
Still won't turn over.
Looks like its "lay in puddle" time  :(

Well it was bound to happen sometime  ::)
Went out to the car and the engine fails to turn over.
Batteries a little run down due to short journeys, 11.8 (key position 2)
Go to 3 and no clicking or anything other then the step motor on the throttle body doing its little dance.
Not even a volts drop.
Am I right in thinking there are no starter relay on the 3.2 ??
Got it on charge for a few hours but its pishing down and getting dark so any hammer wielding will have to wait until tomorrow.
Other then idioting the starter, any pointers ?
For reference, its is a 3.2 manual conversion so would have had the auto box loom shorted out by Serek.

If the most redeeming feature of the policy is a voucher, that speaks volumes about the product.  :-X

The redeeming feature IS the payout.
But at the end of the day, if someone says you can have 120 quid, I expect it.
Not some half baked excuse because they can’t be arsed to type in a serial number and find out where or maybe who spent it

Can they see if the voucher has been used?

When there is doubt about who received what there is such a thing as 'good will' where they give you the benefit of the doubt and cough up.

That was my thinking.
I know these cards need to be activated via a website of phone call.
Not really pushed them over it yet.
Down at the van for a few days.
Might fire off email next week and push a little harder.
The policy itself isn’t a bad deal.
For many reasons the men in our side of the family don’t seem to make it much past retirement age so it was just a extra few quid for our lass.

Well that one went off on a tangent didn't it  ::) ;D

Basically its a 4 grand pay out on death for 15 quid a month.
If I live past 79 then I loose 15 quid a month till i'm dead.

Was more interested in how I could get Sunlife to cough up the money owed though ??

Will that laptop based code reading software which used to be popular on here work wirelessly via a OBD2 Bluetooth adapter ?

With the impending higher gas prices, I decided to use a little extra income I have and signed up for a over 50's life insurance policy as a bit of extra cover so the wife can set fire to me when i'm brown bread  :D
As a part of this deal, after 3 months I was to receive a Love To Shop gift card to the sum of 120 quid.
Last week, I received half the letter (left hand side) along with a apology from Royal Mail.
The right hand side of the letter containing the card had been torn away and the card obviously spirited away by some thieving little scumbag  >:(
Rang Sunlife's customer care and was politely told that since I had received half the letter, there obligation was for filled and I can quietly go and go forth and multiply  >:( >:(
Knowing a little about these cards, I know that they have to be registered first before you can access to money requested they call up the card serial number and have it blocked to no avail ........... they just wasn't interested   >:( >:(
To Royal Mails credit, they opened a case, closed it within 24 hours and sent me a cheque and apology for 20 pounds (which is the most compensation that comes with a letter) leaving me 100 quid out of pocket  >:(

Any idea where to take this next ?
