Oi! Me first. ;D

In short supply it seams. Not exactly an emergency though.

Had the centre console out the other day. Dont remember any spare plugs or similar to plug into. I suppose the button comes with a bit of wiring?

And while we are on the subject, does anyone know where to look for the connector at parcel shelf end?

It is plug and play, you simply remove the old blank switch and replace with the new one. Even my 3.2 ex police has the stuff behind the dash for it. You don't need to remove anything, just take out the blank switch and put the new one in. The parcel shelf and blind should come with a plug, you simply plug that into the plug in the boot. It should be right at the back, on the left hand side at the top. It's as easy as that.

As joshwyatt  says, it's plug'n'play, and a doddle to fit. Remember you don't need a blind from a Facelift, they are all the same, just the switch that's different. You pull out the bottom left blank & insert the switch.

i have the button and a blind, but its not complete, the metal bar/rods that lift the blind up and down are missing as i had to fix the blind in my car when i had it, if this is any good to anybody let me know, i dont know what its worth because the bars are missing so i guess its upto you

thanks for the offer whitebullet, but will need a complete one. Ta.

Went to the dealers today. They quoted 60 odd quid for "a blind". Some queery over clips of some sort. Not including parcel shelf. Didnt go into colour.

Epc was fairly useless for a diag.

Hmmm, you could cut a slot in your existing shelf, not sure how neat you can do it though. I suspect Vx would charge more than £60 for a blind but you never know.  ::)

seemed cheap to me i must say. But not cheap enough to buy one new. Its hardly an essential item. Far more important things to spend 60 sobs on. Like beer and curry. :-)

I got the blind with a shelf for 40 quid from a breaker on ebay (off a facelift).

Get a short length of loom to as the facelift had a plug change around 2000.  :y

I've just fitted my switch which took all of a minute.

Lever out blanking plug

You can see the contacts already in place

And push in new switch.

I'm a bit dissapointed that the colour of the switch is different but i may darken with age

:y  i guess all will rest on the colour Pete? My interior is a cream colour. Or are they all black? Think i would prefer black tbh(or what ever its called) easier to keep clean.

Ps thanks for info chaps.
