Title: I'm going soft.....
Post by: 2woody on 13 October 2011, 15:59:21
A few weeks ago I fitted cruise control to the MV6. Admittedly only because I had it.

.....and now I've gone and bought a diesel - ok, it's a Discovery TD5 for the missus, but it's a diesel all the same.

Am I getting old, or what !

:o Wash your mouth out with... Er.. well, diesel. That'll do.

I've always said it's better for washing things with than as a fuel for a car. ;)

Nowt wrong with diesel....as long as its 256 litres, 12 cylinders, twin crank and has a turbo the size of a dustbin

Prefer single crank and 16 cylinders or 3 cranks and 18 cylinders

Oh contrair, I like Sulzers as the EE's are all noise and not great engineering (poor combustion chamber design and lack of development although I quite enjoy working on them as long as it does not involve anything to do with the timing chains!)

Note: Deltic engine was 1650hp, it needed two fitting to hit 3300hp.....although you could argue they needed two in an attempt to ensure they reached thier destinations!  ;D ;D

I do like the Deltics to.

as it happens, it looks like the Disco has a cracked cylinder head, so it might get a proper engine rather sooner than I planned.....!

you will be pleased to know that there's still some Woody left - I removed the window tint film before it even made it off the trailer I brought it home on.

What is best way to remove that chavvy aftermarket tint?  I think the Useless Student needs to remove tints from his new project...
