Hi all, my 3.0 facelift has a leaky diff, the bit where the prop goes in, is the seal an easy job (eg something i could do) ive looked in haynes and it says something about measuring something before refiting??

any thoughts or tips gratefully appreciated.

If you can, get hold of some swarfega oil and grease remover from halfords, it disolves oil and is perfect for cooling systems, just fill with water and coolant (cheap) then just before it fils up add the swarfega degreaser then run for a while, drain and refil with 50-50 mix of coolant and water job done. ive used it twice now with no trouble.

try unplugging the crank sensor and plugging it back in again, sounds daft i know but mine was cutting out as yours was and i tried it all, ICV, leads plugs dis pack( they were bieng replaced anyway) i took the crank plug, disconnected it plugged it back in and no more probs.

not sure why but there you go.

On mine there's a small torx bolt hidden underneath that needs to be undone before you can remove the ICV.

dead right there, mine has one too

extension bar in from the side to reach it.

go on fleabay or similar and get a set of LEDs for the omega, blue red or white (depending on your taste) and they will never blow again!! i did mine with white and they look great!

the kit used in the thread (link posted above) looks pretty comprehensive, as far as i can see you need to get a tank, of which there ar a few on ebay, and maybe a spare inlet manifold to play with, instead of mucking up the one on the car, kit is not bad price either, imo

You will find the little bugger right next to the oil filter, held in by one torx bolt (E8 i think)
and it plugs in at the rear of the plenum, where the wiring harness ends, just under the passenger side wiper arm. Take care when refitting to make sure wiring doesnt touch any hot bits!! :y

Hope this helps
