I lost interest in F1 when they stopped overtaking, and could win or lose dependant on how fast the pit crew was,

I was a bit short of time last night so had a cheeky Maccas.  :P

If I disappear you'll know that my arteries quickly furred up and I've keeled over!  ;D
Just dropped son and partner at Doncaster airport, decided to grab a Big Mac and large fries on the way back. Big Mac seemed reasonable at £3 odd, but large fries at £1.65 made me jump. Think they were a quid last time I bought them.

mate of mine took his mac back asking for one like in the advert,
his was about half the size.

General Discussion Area / Re: Loft Insulation
« on: 09 August 2022, 17:51:17 »
Insulating between the roof joists is known as "hot roof". seen it on a few builds I have been on in the past and yes, an air gap was left.
Why not consider getting cavity wall insulation done? definatly makes a differance and with the hot roof, you would not need to take up the flooring to reinsulate that. But if you do, use rock wool instead of fibreglass as it is three times as good like for like thickness

Cavities were done about 15 years ago. I'm not convinced they are a good idea in our area though. Lots of reports of problems caused by it bridging the cavity causing damp problems. Saw a map once of areas that were advised not to have it, and we were in it. Something to do with westerly aspects that see the brunt of the prevailing weather.

more to do with crappy build quality

I met one just like it a few weeks back,
I was getting out of the car when young woman and dog came round corner,
dog was very happy to meet a new friend see fresh meat.

Fixed that for you Scimmy!  :)

I meet several dogs most days at work, rarely have a problem with them, I went to a job last month, builder said german shepherd had bitten him that day and his mate day before, it came to me had a fuss and followed me round the garden, I like dogs its usually  mutual.
got called out to a car crash other month, old guy had a stroke etc, I checked the building was ok, 2 cops muttering about the collie and terrier on back seat and how recovery would not take car with them in, I opened back door put a lead on each of them and dropped them at the police station,

« on: 16 July 2022, 22:59:53 »

I cannot understand, given climate change, energy costs etc. why it is not mandatory to fit solar roof tiles to new houses, or could it be that a Conservative Govt. receives financial support from energy companies?

new houses will struggle to comply without panels from this june just gone
