Sun Roof Ghost
« on: 12 November 2021, 09:00:13 »

Sunroof is doing the phantom opening and closing ,
Have removed magnetic disc and cleaned with switch cleaner but hasn’t resolved issue,
As sunroof rarely if ever used am happy to disconnect it permenantly.
Where is the relay or is it on a separate fuse

yeah, i'd unplug the ECU/Motor unit.

Of I imagine they are dirt cheap from any car breakers, and easy to swap, if you like to have stuff working.

For whatever reason, both my facelifts suffered this, and disc cleaning never helped, but none of the 3 PFL I owned ever did.

Cutting the BlRd wire and insulating the loom end may stop it playing up whilst keeping the basic functionality  ;)

Cheers guys .
Rumaged around in the drivers footwell and located fuse #25 only controls sunroof so removed and roof disabled !
Will investigate a replacement control box as like things to work …but not all the time especially at motorway speed when raining .
Problem resolved at present
