NCDC 2013 - Radio Safe
« on: 21 July 2015, 19:15:18 »

Hello,

I've the problem of "Radio Safe" on my NCDC2013 (Omega X30XE) and I've seen in the forum that the only solution to resolve this is the TechII. I've been to Opel garage and they couldn't made the reset because of the problem about diagnostic radio. It doesn't try, they don't know why.

So it's not cool, because, no one can help me, it's a real problem  :-\. I can explose my Omega or put on fire, unless if someone get a solution... :'(

Has it just started doing it, or have you changed something.  It makes a big difference to the next step...

So, in your ownership, it was working perfectly, then stopped working?

Yes, it was working perfectly. In the first time, this message and "bip" sound come only when I use the station radio mode. When I use CD or CDC, no "bip" sound, no message. And after a few time (perharps 3 weeks) it come in all modes.

It will need:

Depairing from other devices (carpass security code required)
Code Index reapplying to NCDC
Re-pairing to other devices.

Code ?

There's no code for this radio, no car pass and security code.

I've done a video to see better the problem.

You can hear the "bip" all the 2 seconds with the message "Radio Safe" all the 5 seconds.

I know the symptom, the fault, and the cure.

If you don't have the pairing code, you're knackered. If in UK, we may be able to fix, but I wouldn't entrust a courier with an old NCDC unit.

You'll have to get a replacement NCDC and screen that are already paired together. But most NCDC units are tired now.

And both NCDC and screen will also need right configs to match the car's spec.

Not been near "My Naff Code Reader" by any chance? ;)
