Fitted new Sachs rear springs. As expected the ones that came off the car were a good inch taller than the ones that went in. Estate springs ?  :-\
Hoping to fit the wishbones tomorrow - depending on swmbos plans.  :D

Removed the last bits off the breaker and managed to get it started and shuffle it around the barn (after I remembered to re-attach the diff).

More rust grinding, converting, painting and undersealing on Project 2  :'(

On the upside, the nearside sill is pretty much rust free with just a surface patch which ground back to solid metal  :y

I know the offside isn't going to be the same story though  :-[

Intended to fit wishbones but spent much of the day trying to remove o/s/f locking nut. No chance, done up windy gun tight, key knackered by windy gun no doubt. Tried hammering on smaller socket etc. but it wont budge.
Going to buy one of those reverse threaded socket things today. If that doesn't work , a new set of cobalt drill bits, it is.
