That one normally passes.  But the MOTer was absolutely right to fail it.

Sadly, work commitments, and the shenanigans with one of bro's shops have prevented any prepping before presenting it.

Washed it and finished repairing some areas of chipped / flaking underseal underneath with Tetrysel spray on underseal. A few hours after doing this I discovered that Bilthamber do an apparently excellent aerosol wax type stuff for doing this very job.  :( ::)
Helped / instructed son on washing & polishing his Punto. The first time he has done this since passing his test about 6 months ago.  ::)
Tomorrow - hopefully free off the adjusters on rear tie bar, as it needs wheel alignment after new wishbones.
I drove the car this morning, for the first time after fitting the wishbones and it felt quite peculiar. Hopefully wheel alignment will cure this.

Wednesday, drove from home to SW Wales... Worst journey I have had for a long time... 11 hours (admittedly with a 2 hour stop to see someone in Hungerford) but on the plus side the car didn't miss a beat despite being very well loaded  :y

Fed the beast - £67 in diesel, and ordered some new tyres for the back - less than 2mm tread depth on both!

Using a combination of greasy roundabouts, persisting drizzle and shockingly rubbish Chinese tyres, I have discovered the the DSC on the new toy is a fantastic system compared to the Omega TC...

Rather than simply turning the power off or hammering the rear brakes, or both ::) it actually has refinement. No violent interruption of progress. The only signs that it's working are a flashing light, about an eighth of a turn of opposite lock and the fact that you're leaving the roundabout at your exit of choice whilst pointing in the desired direction rather than backwards over a kerb into the scenery  :D

If you feed the power in on an omega nicely, they will slide very well and controlled, drive like a youff, well, also sliding a car isn't fast on tarmac.
