Omega General Help / Pushing water out of the reservoir
« on: 27 October 2017, 23:30:06 »
When the car starts to warm up it pushes the water out the reservoir and will cause it to overheat.
I don't  have water in the oil, nor do I have oil in the water and none coming out the tailpipe, so i don't think its a blown headgasket.
I have had a diesel at work do the same thing when the egr went bad.
Any help would be appreciated.

2001 Cadillac Catera. I come here because you know a ton more about these cars than anyone here

Omega General Help / turns over but won't start. no codes
« on: 14 March 2014, 22:25:08 »
I have a 2001 Cadillac Catera and you guy are the only ones I know that may have an answer for me, nobody here knows how to fix it right. I was hoping for some help. The car will crank all I want it to in the driveway. I let it run for 30 minutes, cut it off and it will still crank. Let me go somewhere and it won't fire back up, call a tow truck, it cranks. It runs great if it starts. I checked it with a code reader and there are no codes. Will the paperclip trick yield something different? I first thought fuel pump and still haven't ruled it out, but I saw where a lot of people have trouble with the crank sensor. It's kicking my tail because no codes and it is intermittent. Doesn't matter if it is cold or not. drove it 15 minutes, it sat for 3 hours and wouldn't crank till the tow truck got there.

Thanks for any help

Has anyone had this code come up? The light just came on and the car runs fine. What can I check/clean/replace?

I replaced the oil cooler 1 month ago, it sat for 3 weeks before I could get to it and the battery died. One of my keyless entries doesn't connect anymore, the batteries are good and transmitting. Could the battery dying effect these things?
