to do 750.000 miles in an omega would use over 34 thousand gallon of petrol ,over 213 thousand quid ::)
and if you change the oil every 4000 miles ..... £££££ :o :P :-X
-
not sure how many green shield stamps that is though :-\
-
I reckon most (all) of those will be diesels. I was a bit surprised to see the Prius was the one with most over 250,000 miles.
-
you couldn't do 750000 miles in a diesel Omega
you[d have died of boredom by 5K :D
-
Quite surprising to see what vehicles are included, have heard about diesel Mercs covering mega miles read an article a few years ago about a Volvo that had clocked up over a million miles , in fact it was a P1800 with 3.2 million miles..

or you could just chance it and keep the original :D
spend the money on magic tree air fresheners instead
(removed during the MOT tests obviously ::) :-X )
-
How many of them are as a result of the MOT man incorrectly entering the mileage :-\

Certainly not true of my chipped TD which was a pleasure to drive, and I miss it still. :y

I loved my old tractor, despite the early headaches it caused us all here. Chipped, obviously, as the BMW engined 2.5TD was a dog in standard form.
Not sure I could have afforded to do 750,000 miles in it, as that would have worked out at about 188 sets of rear tyres, at about £50k

Your headaches with it stemmed largely on GM not bothering to use nuts and bolts to hold the front upper cross member in place... The BMW lump being a fair old size ;)

Eh?

Proper cars have a handful of bolts holding the slam panel in. Makes hoiking the engine in and out much easier ;)

Yeah, but swapping the engine was the start of its problems. Clearly.
Actually, when LFF64 and I swapped it back, we did it in an easy afternoon....

You'd have run out of bits of garage door to fix it with by now anyway. ;)
-
Ran out of garage doors in general...
-
Not if you've had to have a replacement garage door for some reason.

Oooo, even more bitchy ;D

At least I made sure that my new garage door was less likely to be butchered by that hooligan Omegatoy. A vital consideration now he's back in Blighty.
