...had rear discs, pads and handbrake shoes renewed yesterday as well as  full service.

£203 supplied and  fitted - trade club by proxy  ;)

Disc sizes are different on the 2.0 though whether that makes any difference.

Only pre 97, Post 97, they use same as v6.  Similar price on trade club

I dont know why but I was always under the impression the 2.0 used smaller discs cheers for the info.

As mine is 97P it should use the same then.

Measure them to be sure, as you are in the changeover period...

v6 ones are 296mm diameter, pre 97 2.0l are 10mm smaller...

Will do that, was one of the recommendations of autovaux when I last spoke to them.

When i ordered my front and rear pads whilst chatting to the woman in parts department i said i guess its best to fit genuine parts and she said ""Oh no we just buy pattern pads in...always have""......so thinking about it why did i bother buying from Vauxhall when i could have got pads half the price at local motor factors.???

Or am i missing something that obvious... :-/

(And you wonder why i dont work on my car  ;D)

The pattern parts front discs/pads I fitted to front of MV6 are just plain awful, hence I will only use genuine from now on...

The box will say GM on, and IIRC, the pads themselves have a gm stamp, or painted in white
