I have one!   

The LPG system is operating normally, although it's taking a little longer to switch from petrol.  When I stop however I can smell gas both inside and outside the car. 

I'm guessing that if the leak is before the evaporator it will be obvious as the liquid gas will leave a frosty mark where it's venting?   

Other than that any pointers on this will be appreciated thanks!

Just have a sniff around.

A garden spray with a weak solution of fairy liquid might be handy. Post-vapouriser rubber hoses are probably the prime suspect. As the rubber ages and hardens they don't make such a good seal.

If you don't have a garden sprayer to hand, leak detection spray is available from screwfix for about £3-4/tin.

Does the same job as the fairy solution.

Back when I used to do a real job, I saw someone test for gas in the way he always did, by flicking a fag butt down. This time, it didn't end so well

I know a gas fitter that tests for leaks around copper pipe unions with a lighter 
Apparently its safe due to the positive gas pressure blowing the flame out

Back in the day when anyone could fit gas fires and cookers, this is how we would check the joints for leaks. Only ever found one small leak, just a slight blue flame around the silver isolator that used to live by the side of the fireplace. Quick tighten up of the nut and all sorted.

Dont listen to these stupid monkey ideas of using copper pipes with gas lighter, fag butts etc, your end up doing some damage. 

What you really need is a good old fashion Blow Torch, get it nice and hot with a good blue flame and have a poke about with that. 

When mine leaked it was the last filter just before the Injector Solenoids and used to seep via the Air Vents inside the car.
