Well the EU are really losing their shit over the AstraZeneca production delays.  ::)

Yesterday they made veiled threats about imposing export bans of vaccine to 3rd countries (they really meant the UK), and today they are demanding supply from the UK! AZ have said that they will fulfil the UK's contract of 100 million doses first, as the UK's contract was signed three months before the EU got round to their order.  :y

Meanwhile the EMA haven't even approved the AZ vaccine yet, Spain are going to pause their vaccination programme for 2 weeks due to lack of supply, the Dutch are rioting over lockdown, the German tabloids have been printing lies about the effectiveness of the AZ vaccine and it looks like the Italian's will be having another election soon!  ::)

It would all be quite amusing if the consequences weren't so tragic, but at the end of the day thank God we left that complete and utter shit show!  :y

The EU regulations about import/exports,  are not new! They're exactly what we signed up to benefit from nearly fifty years ago, and opted out of two(three, whatever the hell it is) years ago. Everything that is happening now was predicted at the time.


The ONLY people who can complain about the consequences are those who voted to remain. And because the decision was made using our democratic process, complaining about it after the fact is all they can do.
