Very nice and clean looking car Lizzie.

It just goes to show what good value Omega's are these days.  Look at what you have bought for relatively little money.  You have bought and will run that car for years for the same amount of money as a new car would depreciate in 6 months!

How true!  I once bought a 3 year old 3.0 Elite for £11,000 when it would have been £32,000 new. 3 years later I sold it for just £3,000!! :o :o :'( :'(

Now with this "old" car it cannot depreciate more a few hundred in three years! 8-) 8-)

One thing I've wanted to know is, how much of a difference is there jumping into a 3.0 from a 2.5? ::)

Like the difference when I went from a 3.0 to a 2.5; there IS a significant difference.  Also top speed is 150 vs 135ish. ;) ;)

Trust you to find out, under clinical supervision of course. When i had my 2.5 i asked the difference between the 2.5 & 3.0 on here. Answer was very little on paper but the 3.0 is that little bit gruntier mid range ie 50 to 80 overtaking.
They were right. 3.0 are longer legged as well. Not sure about the autos but a 3.0 manual will touch the red @ 60 in 2nd, 90 in 3rd. Markey Mark had a 3.0 MV6 auto & that had a savage kickdown, pulled like the proverbial!!! 8-)

Bet you're rightfully proud Lizzie, looks a peach. I'd call the colour Aubergine although the paint code may say otherwise!
Lack of satnav would'nt bother me either other than resale but given you've just bought her that's hardly an issue. I'd buy some chrome surrounds to go with your new plates & exhaust trim. That'd really set her off. Guy. 8-)

Colour looks identical to mine 299/58L Persia Mica-great colour and why I bought my own.

Reg. doc says RED though as they have limited colour names to choose from.  Would be interesting to see if the police stopped it if they were looking for a red one?!

I get loads of positive comments on mine-looks black in low light, purple sometimes, deep red in strong sunlight.  Love it.

Enjoy yours  :y

Lizzie-when I got my V5 reg doc back, I sent it back to DVLA with a post it note saying "not red, very very dark purple, almost black-official Vauxhall colour Persia Mica 299/58L.

The reg doc is back today with colour as PURPLE.
This is a much more sensible description-who would stop our cars if looking for a red one?

May be worth doing yourself  :y
