I guess Ta changed something in them later, I dont have adjusters on rear axle because with them I couldnt get low enough, and the front should be "stiffer" for v6 I think. Rubs when car full of people in big bumps, but its only tires side and itll find its place :D

Hello, heres an Omega from Finland, 3.0 executive manual.

This is the summer setup, Ta-technics coilovers, 3-piece Kerscher CS wheels 9x18 offset 13 with 205/40 tyre in front and 10x18 offset 13 225/40 back.

Then there were minor accident including hood, grill and bumper so it needed little caring and looks like this now.

And this is winter setup

No interior photos sorry, it has full black leather, sunroof, rear blind, Satnav and all other except heated rear seat or memory function in seats. I really like the car and this forum! :y

All problem solved, got CL ecu from breakers with same part number, installed it and paired my keys to it with my "My Naff Code Reader".

Job well done! :y

Central locking came back alive with the other ecu! It works with key in door lock and from pin and the donaters fob. Interior light works too. I cant access the boot because cl ecu was from older estate so now I have to get new ecu. Can I program my old key fobs to the new ecu? :y

ps. I quess the motor I changed to drivers door is broken because sometimes when I lock the car it unlocks it immediatly.... :y

Ok, try swapping the central locking ecu, then from inside the car with the doors shut, try the drivers door lock button. If this works then it confirms the ecu is faulty. I don't know if the remotes will work with a different ecu, but it would mean that you could then at least lock/unlock the car with the key.

This won't affect the immobiliser as that is an engine ecu circuit. If it does work, then it might be as simple as swapping the remote fobs with ones from the spare car :-\

Yes I thought of that too, shame I cant use the fobs since they arent integrated to key and have only 2 buttons, but I'll try that another ecu and see what happens!

10
Do you have access to another Omega :-\

Have you changed the battery in the fob?

Yes older estate Omega for scraps, why? i have tried with both fobs and they have quite new batteries and I dont think the fobs are the problem because the central locking doesnt work with the key in door lock or when sitting in car and pressing drivers lock pin down.

I was referring to 'my naff code reader' :y

Hope that I didnt break anything. :D I took the CL ecu out again and found that if I shake it there seems to be something moving and rattling, took the case apart but theres nothing loose, probably component internally broken? Guess I have to get a new ecu and fobs for central locking... Took the wire looms plugs out from front door to check that is there any broken wires shorting but cant still connect to CL ecu. Anything else I could do? :'(

12
Firstly DO NOT USE THAT ANYWHERE NEAR ANY ECUs... It will potentially programme you out of using your car ever again.

Secondly, have you checked the bulbs?

Multimeter? How can it break anything?

I had the whole central locking box removed when I meausered from the two sockets. I think it has a shortcut somewhere in the cental locking loom and it earths from the wrong place? Is there anywhere a wiring diagram for the system?

Took the radio out to check the wires behind it, nothing wrong there.

And the bulbs are ok...

Hello, heres the latest update:

I got my "My Naff Code Reader" and im able to check any other systems fault codes but not the central locking.

I opened CL ecu and it looked fine to me, no burnt components or bad joints. I measured with a multimeter that the ecu gets +12v feed from battery and +12v from ignition, what else should I check? Is the ecu broken because "My Naff Code Reader" cant read it? No interior lights come on even with CL ecu removed. Any ideas?

Few ideas that came to my mind:

-There is a microswitch in drivers door hande mechanism, could it be broken?
-I have Alpine 2din HU, it has been for about two years for now without any problems, any wires behind HU that have something to do with central locking? Could have been scrubbing something somehow?
-I have a second battery in boot, also been there for almost a year now, never any problems so shouldnt have anything to do with central locking?
-The drivers central locking motor I changed might been broken already? Would broken motor cause these issues?
-Are there any relays or something for the central locking that I should check?

15
More ideas? Anyone? Getting frustrated with this one....
