Coolant transfer pipe o-rings
« on: 21 February 2022, 09:28:49 »

Hi guys, are those still available? I've been searching all over ebay, found some from Germany - for that price I can get a golden ones.
I went to Opel stealers today and they said the item was unavailable. Does anyone have some spare ones maybe?
Thanks in advance, Stan

exactly. they are only an o ring. would neverdream of buying something like that from a dealers.
only need to be capable of 100 deg and antifreeze so a standard ring should do or should have no probs finding a viton or even silicone if you wanted to go better.

Does anyone know the outer diameter ob transfer pipe? It would be easier to get into hydraulics shop with requirements than running around with transfer pipe and thermostat housing and trying to find a match

A Saab specialist or a GM dealer. Shouldn't be too expensive, €3-5 :-\

Alternatively, buy the complete pipe as they come with the O rings.

I'm at the hydraulic supplier now...will take a thermostat housing with me as a vague reference for outer diameter and then hopefully get a few different ones. Fingers crossed

Outside dia. 36.00 mm base of groove, 30.8mm width of groove 3.8mm, O ring 3mm Bear in mind the
O ring maybe crushed to some extent  These are taken from an old tube and are the best measurements I could get.

Thanks Robson. I bought a pair of many 36 mm outside diameter o-rings. Hopefully a pair will fit, if not, I can still take a transfer pipe to the shop, to get the right one, when belt job starts
