Make a note of the old and new mileages along with the invoice for the new cluster and stick it in the service history if it matters greatly

Remove the lock barrel while it's still working, you need to be able to turn it to do so.Ing barrel is still stuck solid, wont turn with the key, hench why I ended up snappinf the switch off Nick. So next task is to remove the barrel somehow with out breaking the alloy housing.
A new one is a good idea, which is quick and cheap if you don't mind another key, and a longer wait if you want one that matches your current key. Which is the best option
