exactly and other hospital cases too. thats the whole idea of the vaccine isnt it, to prevent people becoming ill enough to need hospital treatment so the hospitals can get on with other treatments that they would have been doing pre covid.
this is where the non believers ,non mask wearers and just plain arrogant idiots are making this worse and longer lasting for the rest of us.
yes the gov may have made bad judgements and even broke the rules but without doubt if the entire country had done what they were told and the fines had been greater for breaking the rules we might be down a bit of a better road now.who knows. but it certainly wouldnt have been worse

the vaccine helps ,but it isn't a complete solution,far from it , people need to slow the spread until we have a cure

I have no problem being around the unvaccinated. I could give it to them despite being double jabbed, as easily as they could give it to me.

It's all very well making it compulsory to wear a mask  but who is going to police it ? We went into Sainsbury's yesterday wearing our makes & there was a member of staff outside getting torrents of abuse from people refusing to comply, for £10 an hour they shouldn't have to put up with that nonsense. It's a hopeless task unfortunately.

other variants are about still too ,it's been on the news

if everybody followed the rules , mask wearing reduces transmition by over 50%

absolutely.

we actually never stopped wearing them in shops and like to think we kept safe because of it.( it must help a little .both ways )
problem as mentioned is no one can police it and those that try get abuse.
theres not enough actual police around and even if there were would they be able to spend time on it .
eventually hopefully it will become compulsory (if not in the full poulation at least majority of employers)  every bit helps and if the idiots get ill and cant get  seen by a doctor then they may see the results of their selfish actions although i doubt it !

She lied to the authorities and didn't take a test ,putting other people lives at risk 
she worked in a shop (until sacked  )
still breaking the rules by not wearing a mask whilst at the detention centre 

maybe this approach should be "coming to your town soon"

Then the rule breakers can be locked up (or shot for repeat offences),Covid infection rates will fall 
the NHS can get on with treating the 5.5 million backlog of patients.

The UK are far too soft on people who break the law 
another reason it's so attractive to Illegal immigrants 

Idiots who repeatedly break Covid rules should be locked up together ,they can watch each other die from it ,if they are still alive after a year, let out after quarantine.
