Dumb Ass Question - Engine Oil
« on: 20 April 2020, 21:23:47 »

Can I use fully synthetic Mobil Super 1000 X1 in my 2.2 Petrol?

Can't get part synthetic for love nor money around here.

Cheers

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fanfaro-TSX-20L-Semi-Synthetic-Engine-Oil-10W-40-501-01-505-00-SL-CF-MB229-1/303135413735?hash=item46944755e7:g:YqUAAOSw~BFcwWfa

£23.37 for 20 Litres delivered  :o

or trade club has gone up to £47 with delivery

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20LTR-DRUM-10W40-ENGINE-OIL-new-VAUXHALL-GENUINE-SEMI-SYNTHETIC-PETROL-DIESEL/253266803486
But ebay is always the most expensive place for anything.  Much like some camera cables I needed, £9 from the tat site, or £2.99 direct from camera maker.

£24.99 for 20l of semi, assuming TC vans are still running.

There is of course a possibility that the sender is pissing them around ;).  Not that I have much good to say about couriers though...   ...but I have even less faith in ebay/marketplace type sellers.

Refused is courier code for CBA/too busy without upsetting the service figures. When I worked at TNT I knew certain drivers that would scan all the private address deliveries as 'Not Home' on their way to their first (commercial) drop. This meant that when they did OT on Saturday that they had three times as many drops for their delivery bonus... Sod the person who waited in all day Wednesday :-X

Poor lazy management then. They shouldn't have the opportunity to do things like that and should be sacked if caught trying to.
