We are very lucky that Labour had an extreme and polarising figure like JC as their leader during the last few years.
Had Labour had a leader who Jo Swinson and Nicola Sturgeon/Ian Blackford could have worked with to form a government, they would have called a vote of no confidence back in September, which the Tories would have very probably lost and we would have voted in a Second Referendum in December rather than a GE.
I bet Swinson is absolutely kicking herself now that she didn't try harder to cut some sort of deal with Corbyn along the lines of a time limited government formed specifically to deliver a Second Referendum, followed shortly after by a GE.
And although I'm sure that the SNP were demanding a Section 30 order for their IndyRef2 as a condition for their support, I think if push came to shove they'd have gone along with the plan rather than be seen as the stumbling block to the so called Peoples Vote!
Lucky escape, and we should probably thank Mr Corbyn!
