Sounds exactly like the ignition switch on the end of the barrel wearing out to me, lights come on but absolutely nothing happening trying to crank it, I had similar issue with a Calibra some years ago which gave me and a mechanic the run around for a while, £10 replacement part sorted it in the end

 The white plastic bit in the end...with terminals on..

Yup,this looks like the right part ...... double check though !

by the looks of her other post it looks like shes given up on the car .shame realy if its a good one as theres probably nothing much wrong ? ?
might be a case of garages giving duff information or not wanting to help .

Thank you so much... ordered and waiting for item so hubby can attempt to fit it.
I still got her but came close to saying bye bye... liver her but shes so challenging.
If it wasnt for this forum then I would be stumped...local garages havent great knowledge... but thank goodness you guys do... 🙂cant thank you
