You missed my point.

1.Why wasn't £125 the best price?

2. Who covers the cost of the cashback?

1. Because that is not how insurance works. Insurance company offers a price to comparison site, some of that money is a kickback to the website that brought you to them. Quidco gives you some of that kickback back to you, so whilst it's backwards to get cashback from yourself, as it got me a cheap policy, I don't care.
2. I cover the cost of the cashback. I'm the only one paying money out, so however it gets there, it's still my money.

Does it really surprise you that prices go up when you go through a site that gives you money back?

Not in the slightest, but maybe thats why I didnt use the service years ago when I 1st joined.  But to be fair there will be deals worth having.

Just remembered why I didnt bother last time, Like other companies the bigger benefits are for those "New customers" and not us existing ones.

DANGER! WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!

Daughter was flooded last year, Aviva have been superb dealing with it, as opposed to AXA, also involved.
I am having serious problems with Admiral at present. Having asked them to complete a pdf document, they have claimed, several times, over some weeks, that they are unable to read it, despite it being readable on every other platform I’ve sent it to. When I asked why they are the only company in the world unable to read pdf documents, they replied “ Happy to Help” We have cancelled your home insurance policy from xx/xx/2020, (a date mentioned in the ‘unreadable’ pdf, which is not a request for policy cancellation or anything similar.) Needless to say, I shall not be renewing with them.
STOP PRESS: Just received their latest which begins: “We are deeply regret that.....etc”
I give up.

Recently renewed insurance on the 960,car kept on the road 2yrs NCB £179 for the year. The company it was with last year sent me an e-mail prior to renewal date stating they were sorry they couldn't continue insuring it so I'd have to look elsewhere for cover, they gave no reason they wouldn't even quote a renewal figure. Then a few days after that e-mail they sent me another one saying they were soory I was leaving them!

What a performance.

Last year I told Admiral I would change insurer after thier qoutes kept going up.

2 years ago they took £750 off me whilst I was in hospital and knew nothing of it.  When I got home I got a £530 refund.

Last year they tried for only £350 and I paid £232.

This year they started at £260 and wouldnt drop below £239 (I think it was)

Compare the market came up with quotes from £156 and as they earn commision for the the site I tried to ring a couple.  On the phone one that was £156 ended up at £416.

I also tried RAC which was £146.66 £0 voluntry access, continued to thier quote & added basic breakdown cover total £186.45.  5 attempts to save the qoute but all failed.

Phoned RAC this morning, 15 mins of explanations to get to an advisor and the B**** cut me off. :-X

2nd attemt, the quote had been save but not visible to me, and once checked I get a new price of £266

Result, back through go compare, re done it all manually from thier link.

Covered for £186.45  Inc breakdown cover. :y :y
