I'm not so sure the Tories will take it. For every person who shouts their voting intentions from the rooftops, there are ten who just go out and vote the same every year.

Hartlepool voted something like 70/30 to leave the EU. I imagine  the opinion they have of Euro lover and London Lovey Starmer probably contains a few expletives.

But of course....

Hartlepool is an unassuming town primarily populated by white working class people who voted overwhelmingly to leave the EU.

For Starmer, who is part of the London elite, such people are an embarrassment. My guess is he views such people as ignorant uneducated racist bigots. I very much doubt they would be invited to his North London dinner parties.

Labour no longer represents the working class. Not to worry though, Starmer and Labour has a new group of friends and  is far more interested in Trans rights, and rights for the LGBT community in general.

Labour is the new party for woke minorities.
