Omega General Help / Re: Installing a C20LET
« on: 26 July 2009, 17:42:25 »
200 bhp as standard, lighter than a v6 engine. hard to get hold of a good one for decent money though. Not sure about setting up the emissions to pass the mot though as they are quite an old engine now? maybe worth going for the z20let instead to help with modern emissions??

If you could just check (as much as feasible) that all is good with the block/bores before I come, that would be great :)

If you pop the heads off, it will mean a) I can get it all in the Ashtray - and b) I Can re-build 'em, ready to be re-fitted with new gaskets.

The MV6 will roar once more  :y

will do mate!  :y

my father-in-law has got a td with poor starting. Not down to the low fuel problem though (i think it is a fault with the in-tank pump). It was struggling to start when warm/hot but started fine from cold. Now though its struggling from cold aswell. Plan is to fit new glow plugs and 1 of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hot-Starting-Fix-Range-Rover-BMW-Diesel-P38-DT-DSE_W0QQitemZ370230176741QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5633702be5&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A7%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50

Omega General Help / Re: tyre size
« on: 12 July 2009, 18:32:48 »
205 = tyre width (mm)
60 = profile of tyre wall based on % of tyre width

60% of 205 = 123

if its ok to fit 225/55's (123.75) then 205/60's would be fine as the diameter / circumference is virtually the same.

This is as long as 215/55's are ok as said above!

hope this helps a little...  :-/
