Update from the past week or so...

New wheels shod with some lovely new rubber, and fitted to the car.  I had my doubts as to whether they would suit the car, but I'm very happy with the result!!

Also took delivery of some Irmscher and Steinmetz goodies, which will be making their way onto the car shortly!!

All in all, it's coming along nicely!!  ;D

any pics coming soon :y :y

They'll be plenty of pics coming along soon, as soon as I get everything fitted.  :y

Went to the scrapyard and removed a rear door trim strip ....not so easy trying to take off without damaging it  ::) Only 2 migs in the whole yard of about 100 cars  :o i found that ripping the old one off quite easy and the new one put back in its place easy peasy "sorted"  :y

Today I've filled it up with water again after hopefully sorting the water leak out, I've also covered the 6 inch long crack in the manifold with a load of reinforced exhaust paste until I can afford to fit another one, then I tried to cure the rough idle by checking the breather pipes and the slightly cracked vac hose on the inlet manifold. Now nicely wrapped in insulation tape.  :-\

Water leak appears to have stopped, and the noisy idle has been cured but still got a slight rough running. 2 out of 3 isn't bad!

Cleaned two of the eight unmounted Elite Alloys I have ready for two tyres in the near future. Found that leaving the inner faces coated in WonderWheels for 10 mins, washed off and the process repeated has nearly got them back to a decent finish.

Swapped my wheels over...  ...the old fashioned way - Orgasmagizmo went flat.

Got rid of the Autogrip tyre, and got a puncture repaired on the Rover.

Contemplated doing the MV6 handbrake, but ran out of daylight.

What is it with you and that bloody handbrake? Mine is out of adjustment, but only because the drums are grooved badly. It passed the mot btw. Need to back the handbrake adjusters right off to get the discs off. Replace the discs (soon) and will probably be fine. Other than that I've never had to look at a handbrake.  ???

Just been out and cleaned off the egg that the local knuckle-dragging lowlife degenerate wastes of oxygen have thrown at it.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Poly bushed the ARB and fitted new droplinks. (Elite, it'd had a harder life than my pampered MV6). Lemforder ones are a tighter fit than crappy pattern parts. I think I need thinner spanners.

Who the hell said it took 5 mins to change ARB bushes from underneath? Bloody hell! Obviously I didn't want to drop the subframe like Haynes reckons, so both wheels off car in the air, d/l disconnected, no tension on bar, but bloody hell it's awkard!

ABS ecu, exhaust manifold gasket, wishbones, cam covers, this! There's is a pattern going on here! Is there a pleasant job on the omega? Was going to whip alternator off, solder contact and replace bearings, but twas late so another time.
