The local tyre place has pissed me off. My daughter booked a combined fitment time for two new tyres and the BMW’s very first MOT from new. Dropped the car off an hour early as agreed so as to give them time to fit the tyres first.
They were running a bit behind so they MOT’d the car first and failed it on a bulge in one tyre (the reason for the new tyres). They logged the fail and then fitted the new tyres and passed it. What sort of logic is that.  ::)
It’s now showing as a fail and a pass on the same day due to a lack of common sense.  >:(

The only people who have an issue with age verification are kids and people trying to hide something. If you had a YouTube account then you would be able to watch the videos. Pretty groundbreaking as concepts go ::)

I should add that I only ever log into any account from my own devices.

I have had a youtube account from as far back as I can remember.

I just dont want to or see the point in sharing my personal details to watch a video.

2 optipns were photo I.D. well I dont have any. other was my credit card details.  with the ammount of fraudulent activity and spaming from people that have gained paypal email user deails I just dont trust them. :-X

I was only tryomg tp watch leather hands - vertical linets (Not sleazy or even soft porn)

I don't understand why you have so many internet related issues  ???

If you have had a YouTube account for years then why would you need to verify your age now? Wouldn't be at all surprised if you haven't been subject to yet another scam of some description  :-\

Neither do I

It must be an age thing, the YT one baffles me, age verification to watch a music video yet access to nudity and sexual themes is freely available to any age.

But over the years I have noticed there has been a lot more linking of accounts for verification (Not a bad thing) but Google is offering to remember all my passwords, so Microsoft.  My gripe is if I am not spending money with them they DO NOT require my credit card details and posting photo ID is leaving me open tp ID fraud.  As I have said many times the ammount of dodgy email scams that are tried on us all by people possible working or worked for Paypal/Ebay/Amazon.etc

Also after watching TV progams over the years like Watchdog, The real hustle, scam interseptors plus others it makes you more aware to watch wfor whatever they might try next. :-X

Todays scam ;D

Just recieved a call from a company to reclaim tax back from the HMRC regards a PPI repayment I got 2018/19 ::)

She got a bit pissed off when when I asked them to just send me the cash and I questioned her for more details about the claim.

End result was she didnt like the fact that I told her HMRC dont relaese personal details etc . . I heard some odd words down the fone as she hung up.

Seems I may have ended up on the scamming list from the underworld.

Same call that we had last week asking about our loft insulation, they wanted to know when we last had it inspected so I told them
" one of your chaps is up there now " she sounded mystified she asked about when the inspection was booked " I haven't the foggiest " I  replied I'm just the central heating engineer , for some strange reason she hung up on me.

But most of this will stop soon. When my broadband contract with BT runs out in December, I'll be going somewhere else and losing the landline. I really don't need it.

But, of course, I'll lose all of my halo 2 benefits, which the constantly remind me of when trying to get me to renew.  :'(

Yesterday, I got around to fitting the new cat to the Golf. This required getting the car higher, so jacked up the rear, and lowered the wheels onto the car's spare and an MGF one I had knocking about. Then I moved the axle stands at the front even further forward.

This meant it looked as if there was just enough clearance to get the pipe in, so I lubricated it extensively with concentrated Anglo-Saxon and forced it into place. Then it was the usual German reassembly rigmarole of remembering which randomly chosen fixing went where.

The new brake light switch was surprisingly easy to fit, and reasonably priced at £6.70.

Car passed its retest this morning, so that's one less thing to deal with.
