I agree with previous comments though, I was brought up on FWD. Escorts, Astras etc, yet most of my mates who are a few years older than me were brought up on the older Mk2 Escorts which were RWD obviously.
Look at cars in the last 30 years, Ford for example used to have Escort, Sierra, Granada all RWD then came the Mondeo and suddenly Escorts were FWD.
Alot of people younger than me believe FWD is better especially with the hot hatches being FWD but big bhp and FWD don't mix and so now they're looking at 4WD. The only time they want RWD is to go drifting!
This is my first RWD car and I do tend to get the back end out every so often, it looks good and its fun! I do admit I was wary of it when I first got it but then if I wasn't there would be something wrong with me but now I'm getting used to it I would be hard pushed to go back to FWD.
