Omega General Help / Re: 3.2 Thermostat.
« on: 25 July 2023, 20:31:32 »
Ok that's great, thanks.
I was just about to look in to the availability of the transfer pipe...
I figured it's not an easy one to find.

Ive just been looking at the excellent maintenance guide,

It looks like the thermostat and the pipe housing are replaced as one?
Could anyone confirm this?

Is it best to replace the link pipe aswell?

Omega General Help / Washer bottle pump
« on: 10 November 2021, 21:07:56 »
I tried cleaning out the washer system and in doing so managed to push the gromit through in to the reservior.  Not the actual pump, i think its the level sensor.
I cant find a gromit to match, so do i remove the entire reservior? Any bright ideas?

Omega General Help / Re: Lpg tank temporary removal.
« on: 17 January 2021, 18:31:24 »
Tank is now removed.
In fact it was fairly straightforward and i wouldn't hesitate to do that job again.
After the welding it will go back in.

Thanks for the advice.

Omega General Help / Lpg tank temporary removal.
« on: 12 January 2021, 19:25:22 »
The next thing on the list is that the mot tester failed the car on some welding around the o/s/r shock absorber.
He has refused to do the welding with the lpg tank in the boot, which i understand, but also wont remove the tank himself, saying i would have to do it and it should be quite straightforward.
Now the car is stuck at his garage, without an mot, and is 3 miles away.

Is it possible to remove the tank myself, have him do the welding, then replace the tank myself?
It doesnt look that bad but i have no experience with lpg.

I havent used the tank in a long time, but i realise there would be some gas left?

I would really appreciate any thoughts on this as i dont know what is the best bet.

Omega General Help / Glowing exhaust/cat.
« on: 11 January 2021, 22:11:25 »
The offside exhaust was glowing red hot i noticed tonight, just about where it bends almost 90 degrees.
Is this just below the first cat?
It happens to be the side that has been throwing up codes for a missfire.

Any ideas guys? Is it blocked?
Obviously i will need to replace it, can anybody point me in the right direction? I didnt want to use ebay..

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: No rear fogs.
« on: 10 January 2021, 15:51:57 »
Well it turned out to be a simple fix.
I read on here about swapping over the two small black relays in the cabin fuse box, and the light came back on and both fogs now work.
However the nearside bulb is very dim, even after swapping, it cant cope with fogs and reverse on at the same time.
Offside works just fine.

I ment say the car drives far better than it did, the main difference is the eml flashes, where as before it stayed on.

So the mot was put back because of covid, hasnt been done yet.
I replaced the coil and it drives fine, but missfires or runs rough at idle. problem clears at about 2,000 revs and its fine.
Eml flashes for a bit then goes out but willl reappear, still showing 300, 301,303.
When the engine is warm the problem seems to dissapear.

Help!
