That is what I thought and I remember some time ago I had one with an arrow.I looked carefully for an arrow in the new one but there wasnt one.

Just fitted filter same no. C40276C as old one taken out but slightly different design new one has rubber seals which makes it a tight fit and I think means that it fits one way only.

picked up my filters today the filters are speckled black And the box has a large black dot on it No mention of carbon however.List price £36.17 today £2.39 So all looks good.

Looking at the euro site they claim that the crossland filter is carbon activated. I have ordered one but will be very surprised if that is true at that price.

Any ideas on getting a carbon pollen filter at a reasonable price.GM can get one from Germany for £43.00 I told them it might be better to buy a new car if thats the sort of price that they are charging for spares.

Yes Andy I checked the switch support etc.but difficult to check the operation with the bonnet closed Obviously needs a meter connected

I took the rubber drain grommet out of the scuttle cover and had a look in, I saw the horn but no powersounder I must have removed it.Does it attach to the bracket which is just below and to one side of the scuttle drain grommet. I also thought I could see a tapped up cable.Whilst in there I noticed a lot of crud in the base is there a large drain down there or does it need cleaning like the passenger side drain.Checked the bonnet connecting plug which looks ok.The car has stood idle for some time and when started it was a bit sluggish.could a low battery give this problem.All seems ok at present but will charge battery anyway.I always disconnect both negative and positive when connect my battery conditioner is this necessary.

I am fairly sure that I removed power sounder although that might have been on my previous omega.I will have to check if it has been removed. Have read a few posts on removal what is the best way to check if it has been removed.

Thanks DG I will look at that, the alarm is not sounding just the lights flashing could it be the alarm is dead therefore just flashing lights?
