Discovered, with the help of a hosepipe, that her car was actually a metallic red, not dogshit brown.

The wiring diagrams in the Haynes Book of 'dangle berries' are actually pretty good, unusually
![]() TIS2000 is better, as its interactive and covers (only) the later facelifts, but its too much of an arse to get working on modern PCs due to Frontend.exe being 16bit. |

The 2.6 was, IMHO, the worse of all engines fitted to Omegas. Followed closely by the 3.2. Buggering up the compression ratio for cost saving being the most likely cause.
The 3.0 was the best. Similar power levels to the 3.2, but loads more economical - 500 miles from a tank was achievable even by an eedjit like me, on a good run and keeping it mostly out of instant ban speeds. The 2.5 was a little more economical, but was flat as a witches tit by comparison. |

Yes I thought it was just telling the ECU you were in reverse, not sure why on a manual car? Cant see it making any difference if disconnected. Off to consult my Haynes now, trouble is you find it says wire goes to 451 and when you look at 451 there is nothing there (thats just an example number)

12v goes to the switch and then to the light. About 6,500miles from my diagrams, but Haynes should suffice, being an earlier car
![]() I suspect that the feed comes from the light switch. |

Lots of ex cars had the TC disabled for AIW, basically they just cut a sensor wire,or just disconnected abs sensor,, some had a switch, or pulled a fuse.
If it's the abs ECU/or pump, I've got one |

Spares or repairs omegas fetch £500 - £1000 on Ebay My 3.0 Elite gave the best all round economy. My 2.0 was good on a long careful run, but general mixed driving I didn’t find it any better than the V6! Maybe because it has to work / rev harder for the same output |

Yes the same black and white wire that feeds the switch so does that mean it needs to have an ign feed to it?
