I believe that Mk 4 Mondeos that have the torquey Transit engine are quite rare these days, so maybe I could in for a similar windfall?

Seconded.    The Mondeo MK4 is easier on the eyes, especially as a sporty estate, more economical and almost as fast as that Sierra.  I bet the fool that bought that Sierra is kicking himself for being lured in to bidding so ridiculously high on that ornament. 

The Monsit Titanium X is a very under estimated motor car! 

What extra bells and whistle's do you get with the Titty X specification?

Swmbos nephew is doing a bare shell / nut & bolt restoration of a Sapphire Cosworth.
Hugely impressive work. It will be a lot nicer than a new one when he is finished it.
Kind of thing I would love to do if I had the time / facilities and skill.

Prices for all classic and older cars is going up on average.

Sold my 1992 Sierra Ghia 4x4 Sapphire with 106000 miles on the clock in January this year. Got paid £10,700 for it. Paid £400 for it back in 2002 with 48000 miles on the clock.
