Fitted the expensive rear light cluster.
…….

Well follow my lead by not stopping for pedestrians when turning off a main road …….. otherwise you’ll get smacked up the arse and need another rear light cluster.  ;D
I don't think TB is the 'stop for pedestrians' type :D

Of course he is, how else would he kill brakes so quickly? :)
Your right foot should always be hard down.  Just need to pick a pedal.  All slowing down maneuverers should be a full on emergency stop.

I think at that point, braking is somewhat moot :D

Put a second coat of paint on the rear calipers on the 530D, looks a lot better than the rusty look  :)

Friday I took the V70 to SOS where they did another 'sump dump' on the gearbox and refilled with fresh fluid, fitted the dipstick conversion (full size replacement for the stupid tiny 'technicians' version that you cant reach from above) and fitted new rear trailing arm bushes. Few more jobs to do on the car - condensor appears to have split and the rear discs have a fair lip on them now.

Also purchased a used genuine Volvo space saver spare wheel and jack kit, not happy to drive around in a car with no spare when it doesn't have runflats and don't see how a ten year old bottle of glue is much good....

Took the rear lights off the Alabama Mumsybus in order to replace four rivets on the bumper assembly. Discovered in the process that both rear lights have been replaced (missing nut and yellow crayon all over the back of them ::)) along with some of the boot trim.

No evidence of rear damage, so I can only conclude that the car got a bit mouldy being sat during 2020/21 :-\

Tidied the unit (a bit) then looked for the union to screw back in the r/h exhaust manifold to blank off the EGR, cant find it anywhere. Bugger as it looks like 16mm x 1.0 pitch.

My current 3D printer is on its 2nd bed and 3rd extruded assembly.

It sure gets some work use!

Collected the Alabama Mumsybus from the garage. Some coding a, CV boot and new wheel bearing and it's fault code free.

Officially no longer has rear self levelling.

Also, the bearing was physically damaged by the garage that fitted the genuine ABS sensor about nine months before I bought it. Apparently they went to the trouble of running a drill across the face of the bearing to dig out the old sensor and I suspect that they dumped it to the dealer that I bought it from because they couldn't shift the then intermittent ABS fault :-\

Went and helped one of my friends in the hot rod club sort his 350ci Chevy motor, he had fitted new alloy heads with roller rockers and it was running like a pig, Went back to basics, reset the valve lash (hydraulic lifters) correctly, set ign timing by ear and sorted his carb. Running on 8 now, think it needs some HT leads as a bit of random miss on idle but it reved clean in his garage.
