* should point out, I do not recommend cheap discs. This is for the rear of TBE, just to have on the shelf in case:
a) it gets presented for an MOT next month (as of yet, TBE's MOT has not been extended )
b) fails on the state of the rear discs, they are a bit messy.
Your MOT certificate will not be extended if your vehicle’s MOT expires on or after 1 August 2020
rear, or front disks for that matter should only fail an MOT if damaged,weakened, brake test fail due to efficiency or bad imbalance.
rusty and scored disks
should get an advisory
that said ,brakes are a pretty important part of driving and you should aim above the minimum requirements to pass an MOT IMHO
and if the brakes have been maintained ,swapping disks and pads is simple
rear brakes poorly maintained can become a nightmare due to the inner handbrake gubbins though
