Thanks, not for me, the guy buying my Elite wants to replace the 16”  set that I put on. I sold the 17’s with the TD Estate. If you PM me your contact JD I’ll put him in touch. Thanks Jaime but he wants a set.  :y

Omega General Help / Sunroof problem
« on: 15 November 2020, 12:42:12 »
A keen buyer arrived to buy the 3.2 Elite. He was happy with the car until trying the sunroof, which I probably last opened 5 years ago. It opened OK, but wouldn't close the last 2 inches, and just kept cycling open/partly shut.  It wound closed OK on the winding mechanism, and was quite stiff to close the last bit. Is this likely to be lubrication required somewhere? :-\
He's still having the car at the asking price, and left a deposit to pick the car up next weekend, and I would like to have the roof operating OK by then.

I’m still none the wiser. Why don’t people like s/s. It works perfectly for me. :-\

I didn't realise you only have to buy an ordinary battery if you don't use the start/stop. Worth knowing. :y

Remind me why I shouldn’t like start/stop?  It works perfectly on the Mondeo. For interest I’ve tried quick starts with it on and off (engine idling), and it starts so quickly there is no discernible difference. I don’t see the problem, unless you are a permanent traffic light drag racer like TB.  :-\

Never get condensation. Probably due to triple glazing throughout.  ::) ::) 8)

That's actually down to appropriate airflow in and out of the house.

Doubtful, as we used to get it with DG.  :-\

Thanks for the advice so far! Is that the same box on the 2.2D as well? I'll be honest, I've never looked at anything diesel or auto in my life. I will mosey into the info pages for a read.

Is it worth going for a diesel at all? I've tried to explain the virtues of a V6 but he's a bit too worried about mpg, even though I get 35 on a run...

My 2.5TD wasn’t particularly frugal, best I got was 33 on a run and 28 locally, in 19 years of ownership. Mind you my 2.0l petrol Mondeo is no better.  :(

The TD has an AR25 by default, barely strong enough esp once chipped. Sold my lovely TD estate plus fitted AR35 2 years ago. :(

£4000+ for what will be a 'five minute wonder' is very expensive.

A couple of sweaty work outs and it will take it's place next to the never used sandwich toaster. :)

.......and teasmaid......George Formby Grill............... ;D ;D ;D

Drinking my tea from one as I type! Wouldn’t be without it.  ::)
