Thanks for all the suggestions guys, may try them! lol
however hit a major stumbling block today, new engine ahs been rebuilt in the past,so saw the valves had been shortened, but thought there would be enough on the adjusters to make it,BIG FAIL,
I currently have 13mm vaLve gaps lol,,noW i can get enough adjustment, if i put the locking nuts on the bottom of the adjuster! not to happy with that solution though so can only guess it had caps/shims/ on the top of the valves to take up the slack, but for the life of me i cannot remember what the technical name for them is?
there are shims with a hole in them to about 3mm which sit on top of the valve stems,to take up the slack, course its 3 kings day monday, nowt open tomorrow, and they alwas take the tuesday off to recover from the monday, anyone got access to a,lathe and some hard steel to make them?
or tell me the correct term for them so i can look on ebay! LOL
