Astra engine change

Hi all,
I know this isn't omega related but was looking for some help with the mrs car!
Recently a van has crashed into my wife's 2000 Astra 2.0dti and written it off, the car had done really low mileage and engine was really good, I have bought the car back from the insurance company and also bought a 2001 Astra 2.0 dti with a knackered engine.
I'm planning on swapping the engines but not sure what I need to do about chipped key, transponder on the fuel pump and the ecu etc?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not expertising the Astras but if followed the logic of Omega I would say you : no need to do anything more if you stop at engine change. You should do some other things just in case of swaping ECU, immo or ignition key. Good luck bud!  :y

So do I need to change ecu and key chip aswell, the engine from the 2000 dti will be going in with the fuel pump from the 2000 dti??

Not to sure on diesel, but if the ECU is part of the injector pump then I think you will need to chage immobiliser chip but not remote locking bit of key.
Hope that makes sense.
