2000AD comics
« on: 24 June 2018, 12:08:36 »

my wife has inherited a deceased relatives comic collection . roughly 850 + of 2000AD comics . the relative kept them in really good nick, cataloguing them in packs that I surmise without opening all the packs are featuring different characters like Judge Dredd. these are really of no interest to either of us., so I suppose we are looking to get rid.does anybody know of any collectors that may be wanting to buy these.??

Possibly worth a bob or two to an enthusiastic comic fan.

I'm guessing Roger the dodger and Lord Snooty don't feature. ;)

They good be worth a few bob as there are loads of collectors for such things out there.I believe it is the way with magazines/comics that the earlier the issue the more value it has and it goes without saying that condition is all.

Have a look on eBay. Some early issues are worth more than a few Bob!
I collected these in the late 70's / early 80's but chucked them all out when i was a teenager - gutted!

If it were me, id do a bit of research to identify rare ones/valuable ones (eg the first one where a famous character appears). Armed with that knowledge I’d approach a few shops/specialists and see what they say valuation wise.

Alternative would be an auction house.

The first three had free gifts, if you have these then they will be worth the most and condition will be important to collectors.

I`m on a Facebook page for 2000AD so there might be some interest there, if you have any pictures and details I can put a post up on your behalf and see what interest there is.
