Don't try this in the UK.  274 - 400kV is likely to be slightly less survivable.   :o

Wonder what he'd been smoking to believe climbing a pylon was a good idea.  ::)

That's an awfully big pylon for just 30kV.

So, that's BS, wonder if the rest of the story is the same? ::)

There's plenty of 33kv lines in the UK.

275/400kv systems are only used for long distance & will be outnumbered probably 10:1 by 33kv lines around the country.

I spent a while working with a HV line team & it's unlikely that anyone would survive a 3.3kv shock, let along anything higher than that.

I have worked on H.V. systems and cannot believe the video is genuine #Shock horror# pun intended :)

I used to be able to know the voltage by the size of pylon, type of insulators etc but old age has set in.

In days of old the U.K. had  132Kv (National grid)and onto 400Kv which was / is known as the Super grid.

Are you doubting the integrity of the report? ;D ;D

The Daily Fail is as honest as the day is long :) :)

Maybe the dark sky was caused by his skin being burnt ;D
